Wall to Wall Fall, 1st in a series

I have lived in Minneapolis for nearly 30 years (can it really be that long?)   and I have never recalled a Fall that stretched on for as long as this one.  By mid to late October all color is usually gone but due to late frost and nary any rain and despite frequent high winds there has been good color to enjoy through second week in November.  Alas forecast is saying possible snow this weekend and the leaves are pretty much done but here is a series on my fall season shots of the long Fall of 2011.

Here in Boston, fall is lasting a lot longer than usual as well. Sunday is supposed to bring temperatures in the early 60s! After the four big storms we got last winter, though, I’m not complaining. I especially like the shot you have here of the light coming through the trees. Nice work.
