New York State of Mind: I’ll take the High Road

The last full day of the New York trip takes on a walking tour of Greenwich Village and Chelsea areas of New York with the highlight being the new park area called the High Line Park.  A former freight line elevated a couple of stories above street traffic, it was converted to a park in 2009 and the second leg of the line opened just last week (June 8th) unfortunately a little over a week too late for our visit. It really is a unique “park” and loved how the design flows so well with the path ways and benches and planting areas blending together perfectly.
