New York State of Mind: Memorial Day near Ground Zero

After a crossing back into Manhattan the photographic journey took in various parts of lower Manhattan including City Hall, Ground Zero area, a trip on the Stanton Island Ferry, Wall St. and some down time at Pier 17 on the East River.  Ground Zero offered zero visibility of the monuments of where the twin towers once stood but the 1 World Trade Center was raising tall.   I would guess a little more than half way up its  journey into the sky.  It was a memorable day nonetheless finally seeing many of those famous icons in person.
